Meet The Staff
Debbie Pinfold - Leader / Manager

Debbie has been the leader at Caythorpe Pre-School since 2010, following a move from the Village Hall to a purpose built setting on the Primary School site. As the Special Education Needs Coordinator, Debbie strives to support those children who may need some extra help to achieve the best outcomes. As Designated Safeguardng Lead, she endeavours to keep all children in her care healthy and safe.
Debbie has two grown-up children, both of whom attended the Pre-School, many years ago. Debbie likes to read, travel and walk her dog, Nelson, in the fields around the village.
“I am very proud to say that in 2010, both myself and staff transformed an empty room into the lovely Pre-School we have today and I hope this fantastic facility will be here for many years to come, to educate and nurture the youngest members of our village and surrounding areas”.
Qualifications
Level 3 NVQ in Children’s Care, Learning and Development,
Level 5 Cache in Providing Leadership,
SENCo Level 3,
Paediatric First Aid and Health and Safety.
Denise Lyon - Deputy / Practitioner

Denise has been working at Caythorpe Pre-School for 31 years and a childminder for 33 years. Denise enjoys interacting with the children and being outside with them, planting potatoes and seeds, or playing on the trim trail at Primary School.
Denise feels great satisfaction when she sees the progress of children from their first days at Pre-School to leaving us for ‘Big School’.
Denise has one daughter and a granddaughter, and spends her spare time gardening and walking.
Qualifications
Level 2 NVQ in Children’s Care, Learning and Development,
Paediatric First Aid and Health and Safety.
Katie Connor - Deputy / Practitioner

Katie volunteered at Caythorpe Pre-school when her daughter started, and then took on a permanent role around 16 years ago. Katie is particularly interested in increasing her skills and knowledge around neurodiversity in children and putting them into practice.
Katie has four children, who all attended the Pre-School. She enjoys weekends away in her campervan, going to music festivals, watching bands and walking her dogs.
