What We Learn
The initial information we request from parents and carers provides us with valuable insight into their children's likes, dislikes and interests.
By using this information, we plan activities which will excite and motivate their child to play and learn, supporting them to grow in independence and learn the skills they need to be Primary School Ready.
Provision for the Learning and Development of children from Birth to 5 Years is guided by the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Our Curriculum is cross-curricular and is linked to many areas.
The Prime areas are fundamental, work together and underpin all other areas of learning and development.
The specific areas provide children with the opportunities to learn essential skills and knowledge that will support them in participating successfully in society in the future.
It is our intention at Caythorpe Pre-School that the children in our care will gain essential knowledge and experience in all of the areas and make progress through each stage of their learning.

The Early Years Foundation Stage requires that we supply parents with a short, written summary of their child’s development in the 3 Prime areas of learning and development, when a child is between 24-36 months.
Around the same time your child will have a 2-year check by a Health Visitor and we will work together if we have any concerns about your child’s well-being or development,
